2003 Sorrel Mare
SOLD
I am selling this mare only because I don't have the time to work
with her. She needs someone that doesn't have too many horses
to work to just enjoy her. She is broke to ride, is quiet and isn't
spooky. She has been to many different arenas, indoor and out.
She is trained for barrels, but hasn't been ran in a couple of
years. I've had her turned out in the pasture for a couple of
weeks now. I haven't ridden her for about a month (as of
Feb.5). She needs to have front shoes kept on.
I'm not sure what category this mare would place in. She ran in
the 5-d just starting out without pushing her. She needs
someone to spend some time with her and get her going again
and just give her another try and see what she can do. She has
plenty of attitude to be tough, just needs the time.
She is bred well enough to make a nice broodmare. I don't feel
like breeding outside my program right now, so that is why I
decided not to keep her. I have too many to breed already and
have too many colts to start this year to commit to riding her. If
anyone has questions, please feel free to call me and I will give
as much info on her as I can. The pictures are older that I have
posted. The most recent one is on this page. She is of course
haired up now. Price is lowered to allow for hard economic
times. We are aware of how expensive it is to keep a horse
healthy and would just like to find her a good, respectable home.

This mare can do it all! Jackie is a very athletic well built mare
with a lot of experience. She has been running barrels and poles
for 5 years and has been used the last 6 months for a heel horse
and has roped breakaway. She has been used for parades, pony
rides, cattle day work, a lesson horse and has even packed elk
meat off the mountains of Colorado. Jackie is really light in her
mouth and is really broke. Works of bit pressure, leg pressure
and does nice rollbacks and stops hard. This mare is husband
safe and would be good for a child, though she is not a
babysitter. No trades please.
